Dear AFP Colleagues,
What does AFP mean to you? What do you hope to get out of your membership? #1: Do you want to help the chapter operate, or #2: Do you prefer to let others plan chapter activities for you? If your answer is #1 - AFP wants YOU!!! Your AFP WPA Chapter is seeking volunteers to serve as Board Officers and Members, volunteers to spearhead committees and/or people to present at various chapter events throughout the year. Your willingness to step up and help out would be greatly appreciated. If you have 10 hours or 2 hours of time to volunteer each month - we will match your time and talents with a volunteer activity that fits your schedule and interests. You do not have to be a paid member to participate on a committee.
AFP is a type of fraternity to me. My participation as your Board President is important both personally and professionally. Webster defines a fraternity as "A group of people sharing a common profession or interest." That pretty much sums up the relationship between each of us and the field of philanthropy that we serve.
