The Assistant Vice President of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving is responsible for the development, management, and integration of programs that engage alumni and donors in creative and relevant ways as resources for the College and each other. This position reports to the Vice President for Advancement and is part of the Office’s senior leadership team.

This position has four direct reports who oversee annual giving, reunions and class volunteers, and alumni engagement. The AVP plays a pivotal role in growing alumni and annual giving and leading a unified strategy and outreach effort to create and sustain commitment and engagement among Oberlin College’s alumni from various generations. Serving as principal liaison to the Alumni Leadership Council (ALC), governing body of the Alumni Association, the AVP provides support and direction that fosters productive relationships between ALC members and the College.

In conjunction with College leadership and other key stakeholders, the Assistant Vice President is tasked with leading a program based in best practices and utilizing a market informed approach to alumni relations and annual giving segmentation, messaging, and giving channels
