The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University is seeking an Associate Director of Development. This position serves as a front-line fundraising position responsible for identifying and developing major gift resources to support the departments and programs within the Eberly College. The successful candidate will be expected to raise at least one million a year through outright and planned gifts. In addition, this person will support College-based engagement activities and events as needed.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ work experience in individual fundraising or direct sales is required. Major gift experience in higher education is preferred. The position requires strong organizational, written and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The successful candidate will also possess a high level of integrity and leadership skills, the ability to work successfully with a variety of constituents and understanding of major gift principles. The position requires the ability to travel and undertake regular weekend and evening work.
