SUMMARY:  Supports the organization’s Mission, Guiding Principles and Values and Women’s Center Business System (WCBS), along with sensitivity of cultural and workplace harmony.

REPORTS TO:  Development Director

POSITION SUMMARY:  Coordinates and administers specialized development data functions, such as segmenting, targeting and managing the Raiser’s Edge database, providing fundraising data for analysis and managing direct mail campaigns. Provides administrative support on special projects and events.


  • Manages donor information by maintaining accurate records for all financial and in-kind donors in the Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Conducts research on donors and prospects as needed for development efforts.
  • Uses Raiser’s Edge to generate various reports on individual, organization, foundation and corporate donations, including annual end-of-year donor statements.
  • Coordinates quarterly NCOA database scrubs.
  • Generates mailing lists for direct mail campaigns and all house mailings.
  • Prepares donor lists for publications such as the annual report.
  • Generates acknowledgements and commemorative gift cards in a timely manner.
  • Composes “Thank You” form letters and updates them in accordance with the appropriate campaigns, including annual and capital (if applicable).
  • Administers pledge program to include gift processing and the routine generation of reports for both the annual and capital campaign (if applicable).
  • Processes credit card transactions and generates related contribution reports.
  • Interacts with the Finance Department to provide accurate batch reports.
  • Processes address corrections and other donor database updates.
  • Provides monthly reports on donor and fundraising campaign activity for all campaigns.
  • Supports all Development Department activities as required, including providing administrative support for special events and all development-related tasks.
  • Works in conjunction with the Development Director and development team in creating and implementing donor cultivation strategies.
  • Provides administrative support on special projects such as third party events, cell phone donations and the Adopt-A-Family program.
  • Adheres to the policies, procedures and guiding principles approved by the agency regarding all fundraising practices.
  • Maintains and respects confidentiality pertaining to client, administrative and donor information.
  • Meets regularly with the Development Director to review, prioritize assignments and discuss problems/issues.
  • Attends mandatory Development Team, Development Committee and All Staff meetings.
  • Works directly with printers on agency printing needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and in accordance with the needs of the Development Department.


  • Associate’s degree and 5 years development or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Has a working knowledge or ability to learn fundraising and constituent relationship management in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Sensitive to domestic violence and cultural diversity issues.
  • Must obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary Range $40,000 – $46,000 annually
