Responsible for increasing the leadership giving by corporations, foundations and public sources through research, personal cultivation, solicitation and proposal writing.
Hours:             Monday – Friday, 9:00-5:00, occasional evening and weekend work required
Reports to:     Director of External Affairs
Status:             Full-time, exempt with benefits


  • Serve as a senior member of the fundraising staff
  • Develop and implement goals, objectives and strategies for the purpose of increasing leadership giving by corporations, foundations and public funding sources to meet fundraising goals
  • Personally cultivate corporate prospects for all Frick giving programs, including:
    • Corporate memberships
    • EITC participation
    • Sponsorships for programs and events, exhibitions, concerts, lecture series, etc.
  • Create and develop all materials, as needed, for cultivation, solicitation and recognition of corporate donors
  • Manage corporate membership benefit and recognition program
  • Manage EITC program, including annual state reporting and renewal process
  • Research and personally cultivate and solicit small foundations
  • Research state and federal public funding opportunities
  • Research and prepare applications and reports, and other correspondence as needed, for local, state and federal public funding opportunities.
  • Prepare correspondence, letters of inquiry, proposals and grant reports for corporate and foundation grants as needed
  • Set meetings for senior staff and Trustees with major corporate and foundation prospects
  • Strategize, plan and implement events for the purpose of cultivating and recognizing donors.
  • Use Raiser’s Edge to track prospect activity – meetings, funding interests, relationships, etc.
  • Track and prepare reports relative to proposal and report deadlines
  • Create and maintain annual program budget
  • Accurately prepare and present a variety of reports to show progress in reaching fundraising goals
  • Contribute to the overall team effort within the Advancement & Engagement Department and share in the decision-making process
  • Handle other duties as requested by management


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 5 years of relevant professional fundraising experience with demonstrated results
  • Ability to think and work creatively and strategically
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to advance projects and goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to deal effectively with both donors and staff
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Demonstrated strong writing and editing skills with ability to develop proposals, reports, correspondence and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, experience in Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure in a fast paced work environment
  • Some experience in financial analysis/budgeting.
  • Clearance of a criminal background check
