Get Your Nonprofit on the Web in 1 Day!

Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - 9:30am - 3:30pm
Event Location:
Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – East Liberty

Wish your organization had a website, but don’t know how to code or design, or think it’s not in the budget?  Or worse, do you already have a website but you’re not sure how to update it, add events, take donations online, or even how to reach your audience?  In “Get Your Nonprofit on the Web in 1 Day,” you will create a working site that takes away frustrations with the web and actually helps you accomplish your mission.  And we’re going to do it in one training session!

You will learn how to purchase a domain name, hosting, and how to setup your website framework in less than 20 minutes.  We will install a theme, customize it to your liking, and then add functionality that lets you take donations online, create and manage events, blogs, share content to social media channels, add images and videos, forms, surveys, and much more.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop for this training.

When we are done, you will be given access to nearly 50 videos showing how to use and maintain your website, plus a 100 page print manual covering what the videos show you. In addition, you will get templates to help create content for future blog posts, and software to back-up your new site so you never have to worry about losing files again.

This course is presented by Craig Grella, founder and executive director of OrgSpring, a Pittsburgh based nonprofit with a mission to help other nonprofits accomplish their missions online.  Through his work at OrgSpring over the past two years alone, Craig has helped nonprofits large and small to create compelling websites and online advocacy campaigns that have resulted in nearly $3 million raised both online and off.

There is a $30 per person fee to attend this class, which includes a light continental breakfast.  Payment can be made at the door with either cash or a check made payable to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and receipts will be provided.  Space is limited and registration is required by calling 412-622-6277.
