Genevieve Frederick had a career in sales and marketing before retiring in 1998. She was the owner of a several companies. She has published three books. She has volunteered her time as a board member of the local hospital foundation to raise funds for a cancer center. She has been a member of Rotary International since 1996. With her experience, she brings organizational skills, accounting, event management, public relations and publishing expertise.
Since 2006, Genevieve Frederick has researched homeless with pets and has spoken to homeless about their pets. The nonprofit she founded in 2008, Feeding Pets of the Homeless, is the first and is now one of the few national animal organizations focused on feeding and providing emergency veterinary care to pets of the homeless.
Frederick is a specialist on the topic of pets and their homeless owners and the human/animal bond. Frederick, representing the nonprofit, has been interviewed on TV, as well as numerous radio shows and podcasts. She has been interviewed and quoted in a number of books, magazines, and blogs in the US and abroad. She has been a speaker at numerous seminars.
