National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – have made to our lives, our communities and our world.

NPD was first celebrated in 1986.  The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the main sponsor of NPD through its 32,000 members in more than 240 chapters across North America and around the world. Chapters work with local charitable and community organizations to hold NPD celebrations.

This year, we’re also hosting a special pre-dinner panel discussion featuring nonprofit leaders from across Pittsburgh—including several of our award winners. Don’t miss this chance to hear their insights and celebrate philanthropy in action.

 Panelists include:
Ty Gourley, Hillman Foundation
Phil Koch, The Pittsburgh Foundation
Maureen Mahoney Hill, CFRE, Advancement Advisors
Ellen Rossi, EQT Foundation
 Marisol Valentin, McAuley Ministries

We hope you will join us for the pre-dinner panel discussion and stay for National Philanthropy Day too, however the option to attend the panel discussion only is available.
If you are attending National Philanthropy Day, the panel discussion is free of charge.
